“Raising poultry for backyard flocks is more than a job at Sunrise Farms”
You should see the smile on a little boy or girl’s face when they come face to face with a baby chick. There’s a rare beauty seen when peeking into a hatcher as a baby chick struggles to achieve life. Excitement fills the air when someone chooses his or her baby chicks.
Tip Top Health
We are proud to provide endangered and heritage bred chickens that are healthy. Our thriving feathery friends lead long and productive lives. We’re about protecting your flock from disease. We maintain clean and sanitary facilities and test annually for Typhoid and Pullorum disease. When you buy from Sunrise Farm you can be pretty sure you’re protected from infection, both as to the poultry you purchased, but also protects the flock you are introducing the new birds into. Your babies.
Endangered and Unique Breeds
Leland R. (Lee) Pannell and sister Peggy Adams established Sunrise Farm in 2010 after buying some Black Copper Marans hatching eggs from Award winning Marans breeder, Beverly Robertson of Marble Falls. We quickly added more birds and immediately found we could not keep up with demand. In 2011 we added lines of Black Java and Partridge Penesdensca, both rare, endangered breeds of poultry. In 2013 we have added Silver Laced Wyandottes, Gold Laced Wyandottes, Creme Legbars, Blue Marans, Blue Splash Marans and several breeds to be announced. We continue to grow, with eight employees, we work to satisfy demand.
We anticipate the ability to ship hatching eggs and day old chicks to the continental U.S. (48 states).
